Since the inauguration of the Children'
s Research Fund in 1962, we have been involved in all aspects
of child health at Institute of Child Health and University
Departments throughout the country.
In addition we have been
involved in very important capital projects such as the establishment
of the Department of Immunology at Great Ormond Street Children's
Hospital and the original Institute of Child Health at Alder
Hey, Liverpool, which the Children's Research Fund provided.
We also provided the Corams Field Centre in London for the
study and treatment of dyslexia. At Leicester we have established
the Greenwood Institute of Child Health at the University of
Leicester. The Children's Research Fund does not only concern itself
with just one child health problem, but all illnesses and
diseases that affect children.
Over
the recent past, with the wonderful support we receive
from businesses and the public, we have been able to support
various research projects (see list - right):
